The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has promised to deliver victory to the party in the forth coming 2023 General Elections.
Mrs Kemi Elebute-Halle, the Director-General of the PCC said this during the inauguration of the PCC on Thursday in Abuja.
Elebute-Halle who is also the Governorship Candidate in Ekiti State said that victory was guaranteed for the Presidential candidate and other party candidates with her leadership on board..
“This is a major event to kick start our nationwide campaigns and as you can see, victory is already our language.
“My team and i would work to ensure a hitch free nationwide campaign and we would set the standard for campaigns in Nigeria and victory is guaranteed,” she said.
She called for support from the ADP family nationwide to ensure successful campaigns across the country.
Mr Yabaji Sani, ADP Presidential Candidate said that the party remained the most credible alternative and its candidates vying for all elective posiitons were also the most preferred for leadership.
According to Sani, ADP regards itself as the credible alternative to the kind of leadership that the country has had since the commencement of the Fourth Republic in 1999.
“Ours is a platform of disciplined, patriotic and truly progressive Nigerians with a shared vision of taking the nation away from the stranglehold of corrupt, inept, incompetent and self-seeking elements.
“Nigerians should expect from my presidency a political direction that will take them to economic prosperity, security, peace, stability, equity as against the phenomenon of nepotistic and myopic leadership, “he said.
Sani said that he was confident with the members of the PCC adding that the PCC consisted of the cream of men and women of outstanding pedigree in their various areas of human endeavor.
He said that their mandate was simple to deliver victory in all elections in 2023 and he was confident that they would deliver.
He also said that the party’s manifesto was a well-researched document carried out by experts on the current challenges facing the nation and ways to proffers pragmatic and empirical solutions.
“To stabilize the economy, there is a great need for good fiscal and monetary policy plan. It is only a knowledgeable and competent party and leader that can do this.
“Our philosophy and propelling motif is to offer a credible alternative to the dangerous trend threatening to take us to the abyss.
“We the founding fathers of the ADP and our teeming members believe that given the stupendous natural and human resources available, the country should have no business being poor.
“In our manifesto, we are committed to quickly embark on exploring and harnessing the vast resources of the country to profoundly lift Nigeria and its citizens to be among the most advanced and prosperous nations of the world.
“More importantly, our philosophy and mission in governance is anchored on the objective of promoting unity and integration of the component nationalities, communities and groups through a conscious commitment to the golden.
“The universal principles of transparency in governance, equity, equality and fair play in the distribution of the nation’s resources without discrimination on the bases of ethnicity, faith, creed, region, gender, class and other identities of the citizens,” he said.
Sani said that he was confident in winning the 2023 presidential election with his running mate, Pastor Okey Udo.
He said that Nigerians would have a leadership that was patriotic and focused because him and his running mate had a demonstrated track record requisite to translate Nigeria into concrete realities of the lofty ideals, vision and mission of the ADP.
Sani also said he had confidence in the arrangements that havd been put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) towards ensuring a transparent, credible and acceptable elections.
According to him, we are quite comfortable as we commend the courage, patriotism and clear-sighted vision displayed by INEC in the introduction of technological devices such as BVAS and IReV as well as the electronic transmission of election results.
“We believe that if all these measures are diligently implemented, they will minimize or eliminate the incidents of abuse and manipulation of the electoral process.
“We accordingly call on the leadership of the electoral umpire to be steadfast, focused and resolute without yielding to the current tirades and machinations aimed at intimidation and blackmail coming from political parties and individuals,” he said.
