President Muhammadu Buhari joined worshippers at the State House Mosque on Sunday for the end of the Tafsir, offering prayers for Allah’s protection on the country, its citizens, and its leaders.
The president and worshippers listened to the final round of the regular interpretation of the Quran delivered by Sheikh Abdulwahid Abubakar Sulaiman, the Chief Imam, as they had done during the fasting time, according to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN).
The Imam summarized the values of Ramadan and prayed against disunity, discord, rage, and crimes during Sunday’s episode.
He also prayed to God for the nation’s and people’s unity, harmony, and stability.
”We urgently need God’s peace in light of the challenges we face as a nation,” Abdulwahid said.
The Chief Imam also urged all people to treat each other with respect and to seek restoration through repentance, modesty, and compassion.
