Alhaji Ismail Abdulmumin-Kamba, Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, has praised Gov. Atiku Bagudu’s administration for completing a 17-kilometer road project in the state’s Dandi Local Government Area.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the road runs from Dole Kaina to Tungar Rafi.
Abdulmumin-Kamba listed the completed road project in the Dole Kaina region as one of the most significant road projects in the state after inspecting it on Monday.
The newly built road, according to the speaker, will promote both commercial and agricultural activities in the region.
“This road project is one important project that is very critical to the socioeconomic lives of the people in this area.
“The 17km road constructed at the cost of N1.4 billion is not costly because it includes 40 big culverts capable of discharging large volumes of water,” he said.
In addition, despite the state’s diminishing resources, Gov. Bagudu stated that his administration is ready to continue to respond to the provision of critical infrastructure.
He praised the contractor for completing the project on time and within budget, considering the difficult terrain of the region, which runs parallel to the Niger River.
He also complimented the contractor on the quality of the work and the fact that it was completed on time and on budget.
The governor also expressed gratitude to the area’s leaders and residents for their patronage of his administration, assuring them that he would be willing to extend the road from Tungar Rafi to Aljannare.
