At the national level, the All Progressive Congress has nullified
all suspensions and counter suspensions among the Ekiti chapter members.
On Friday, on behalf of the Mai Mala Buni Caretaker Committee, Yekini
Nabena, the party’s deputy publicity secretary, released a statement cancelling all the suspensions.
The
Declaration:
An alleged and widely reported “suspension” of the Governor of Ekiti State, H.E. Kayode Fayemi, as well as an earlier reported “indefinite suspension” of
some other party members in the state, has been called to the attention of the National Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress ( APC).
The activities are null as the National Secretariat of the Party has
yet to obtain correspondence on the supposed “suspensions” from the state branch.
We firmly urge all representatives to
adhere to the constitution of our party.
In Ekiti State, Governor Kayode
Fayemi remains the party’s leader.
We call on our esteemed party members and leaders in Ekiti State to be properly directed in line with the mandate of Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC
Caretaker / Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee and the President’s admonition to party members to ensure and encourage ongoing amicable and rancour-free resolution of internal party disputes.
To avoid doubt, the APC Ekiti State Working Committee, chaired by Architect Paul Omotosho, is the
real, independent and duly recognized executive, as there are no factions or divisions in the State Chapter.
