According to the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), the country’s COVID-19 cases increased to 203,081 on Wednesday, with 377 new infections recorded.
On Thursday morning, the NCDC announced it on its official website.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the extra 377 COVID-19 infections reported on Wednesday represented a reduction from the 513 cases reported on Tuesday.
According to the NCDC, the 377 new coronavirus cases raise the overall number of illnesses in the country to 203,081.
On Wednesday, 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported cases of COVID-19, according to the CDC.
According to the NCDC, Lagos state had the largest number of new cases on Wednesday, with 70 cases, down from 132 the day before.
FCT-67, Kaduna-38, Edo-36, Rivers-28, Delta-23, Kwara-22, Ondo-18, Plateau-17, Oyo-16, Benue-12, Ekiti-10, Gombe-8, Kano-7, Imo-3, and Jigawa-2 were among the states represented.
According to the latest data, Jigawa has a backlog of two confirmed cases for September 16, 2021, and Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, and Sokoto states have zero cases.
231 individuals healed and were discharged from various isolation centers across the country, according to the disease center, while two others died as a result of COVID-19 complications.
203,081 cases have been confirmed, 191,601 cases discharged, and 2,666 deaths have been reported in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, according to the report.
The country had analyzed over 2,997,060 million samples from its nearly 200 million people, according to the report.
The NCDC further stated that the national response actions are still being coordinated by a multi-sectoral national emergency operations center (EOC), which has been activated at Level 2.
According to the NCDC, there are currently 8,806 active cases across the country.
