A strategic operation to rescue three people abducted in Abuja has been
conducted by the Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT).
This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) at
the FCT, Ms Marian Yusuf, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.
She said the three victims were kidnapped on Tuesday at the Kabi
Axis farm in the Pegi area of the FCT’s Kuje Area Council.
Yusuf urged the public to stay calm, as the police are speeding up
efforts to free the unharmed victims and to reunite them with their families.
She said that Mr Bala Ciroma, the Police Commissioner in charge of
the FCT, had launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.
The PPRO urged FCT residents to be conscious of security and
ensure that any suspicious movements in their environment are reported promptly.
She vowed the Command’s unflinching determination to
continue protecting lives and property in the FCT.
