Two gunrunners who are allegedly specialized in supplying weapons to terrorists were killed by the Zamfara State Police command.
These suspects were intercepted along the Gumi-Anka Road of the Zamfara state while allegedly attempting to transport weapons from Taraba to Zamfara.
Abdul Balarabe, a Zamfara based-journalist, shared the information via his Twitter handle with pictures showing the corpses of the suspects.
A black Corolla car with registration number: NIGER, SRP 702XA was cross-examined, as it conveyed about 400 rounds of live ammunition, two bombs, three rocket weaponry and charms.
The Zamfara Police Spokesperson, Muhammes Shehu, confirmed the incident but have requested for more time before any official statement would be made.
“The incident happened, but give us more time to put out a statement to tell what really transpired. Please, don’t believe everything on the social media,” he stated.
